Tignall Homemakers decide to make quilt for Fall Festival

At the May 15 meeting of the Tignall Homemakers Club, the ladies decided to make a "pieced" quilt for the 2008 Fall Festival.

The library staff was applauded for their reorganization of the meeting room which has made it both more functional and more attractive,

Sherri Bowers reported that she has obtained a grant to purchase children's books for the library and is working on another.

The AASP Driver Safety Program will be held in Tignall on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, August 19-20. Please call Joan Baker at 706-285-2619 for further information and registration.

Guided by Sally Kennedy, members made attractive bookmarks decorated with pressed flowers which she provided.

Hostesses Pat Mack and Billie Carroll treated members to homemade ice cream and cake.
