The Wilkes County Child Fatality Review Committee sponsored a poster contest promoting seat belt and car seat safety. Children in grades K- 8 participated. The winners received cash prizes for first, second, and third place as well as honorable mention.

Winners for Washington-Wilkes Primary School (top photo) were Morgan Dodson, first place; Miles Davis, second place; Eve Gallo, third place; and Haley Wilson, Lykah Mora, Taylor Echols, and Raina Dodson, honorable mention.

Winners for Washington-Wilkes Elementary School were: T'alexus Cullars, first place; Edward Davis, second place; Erin Wilson, third place; Hannah Davis, honorable mention.

Winners for Washington-Wilkes Middle School (bottom photo) were Katrice Norman and Rebecca Wilson, first place.

Presenting the awards were Blake Thompson, Chairman of the Child Fatality Review Committee, and Jennifer Jackson, RN committee member.

Posters are on display at the Wilkes County Health Department.
