Joanna Delany, bride-elect of Ivan Haynes of Columbia, S.C., was feted at a luncheon on Saturday, April 26, given by the prospective bridegroom's godmother, Carol Montgomery, in Newberry, S.C.

The festivities included a tour of Mrs. Montgomery's historic home, a drive around historic Newberry and lunch at the Rose Garden Tea Room where all enjoyed exotic teas, chicken salad and key lime pie.

Mrs. Montgomery presented Miss Delany linens that she had personally embellished with exquisite hand-embroidery.

Guests attending with the brideelect and Mrs. Montgomery were Miss Delany's sister, Gina Gay of Lawrenceville, and the prospective bridegroom's mother, Marie Haynes of Columbia.
