Jacob Guin enjoys celebrations with family and friends
Jacob Guin, son of Jay and Debra Guin, celebrated his fifth birthday on April 25 and was treated to several celebrations.
Jacob's fun began on his birthday with a party in his pre-kindergarten class at the Washington- Wilkes Elementary School. All his classmates enjoyed minicupcakes decorated with green icing while Jacob had a large cupcake with yellow icing, made by his mom, and topped with fivecandles. Other party refreshments and juice boxes were served.
After the party Jacob left with his mom to pick up his dad and spend the day watching his brother, Justin, at a region track meet in Jackson. Jacob was treated to lunch at Zaxby's where he enjoyed his favorite Kid Chicken Finger Meal and chocolate chip cookies.
Jacob's excitement continued as he was treated to a John Deere party at his home on April 27. He had a John Deere cake, decorated with two tractors, horses, cows, chickens and the numeral "5". It was served with ice cream, chocolate chip cookies, Cheese Puffs and soft drinks.
Jacob and his friends enjoyed playing with the all yellow and green balloons and Jacob had fun showing his friends his newlydecorated room in an all John Deere theme, a gift from his parents.
Celebrating with Jacob and his parents were his brothers, Thomas and Justin; grandparents Betty Jean Guin of Danburg and Luther and Fannie Blackburn of Lincolnton; his uncle, Roy Blackburn, also of Lincolnton; Wendi Harper and Evan, Ashley Cox and Aubrey, Tyson Price of Tignall, Rhonda Newsome and Jake of Rayle, Sheri Bailey and Garner, Lisa Stevens of Metasville and McKenzie Rogers of Charleston, S.C.
