First Methodist Church to present musical 'Never the Same' June 19

The First United Methodist Church of Washington, Georgia will host a musical on Thursday, June 19, at 7 p.m. "Never the Same" will be performed by The New World Generation Youth Choir of the First United Methodist Church of Hendersonville, Tenn. This "powerfully dramatic" musical deals with the important subject of youth suicide from a Christian perspective.

Few people are aware of the magnitude surrounding the issue of youth suicide. Suicide is the third leading cause of death among young people, aged 15-24, and the second leading cause of death for collegeage youth. This "silent epidemic" claims the lives of approximately 100 young people per week in the United States.
