Raytown Baptist Church is having a paint day and movie night on Saturday, May 31, beginning at 2 p.m. All children are invited to come and paint the new children's Sunday School rooms. Carter's Grove Baptist Church held its 133rd annual homecoming day Sunday, May 18. There was extra good attendance although a number of faithful ones were unable to attend because of health reasons. Sardis Baptist Church enjoyed a good service Sunday morning with several special things taking place. Sunday School was held at 10 a.m. followed by the worship service. Rev. Jim Newsome began the service with the baptism of Sherri Standard and Ty Land. It was a beautiful ceremony in the church baptismal pool against the painting of a river scene behind the pool.
