Campmeeting starts at Fountain Campground June 7
ANDY COLLINS Fountain Campground kicks off its annual Campmeeting on Saturday, June 7, 2008. The week will begin with a barbecue supper and Gospel Sing. Supper will be served from 5-6:30 p.m. The Gospel Sing will feature The New Apostles of Crawfordville at 4:30 p.m., The Tyners of Hartsville at 5:30 p.m., The Master's Call of Andrews, South Carolina, at 6:30 p.m., and the River Town Boys at 7:30 p.m.
A covered dish dinner will be served on Sunday, June 8, at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a concert beginning at 7 p.m. by The Crowns, a six-piece Christian group from Augusta.
Morning Worship Services will be held daily at 10:30 a.m., June 9-14. Rev. Andy Collins, Pastor of Sharon Baptist Church, will provide the message.
Evening Services will be held nightly at 8 p.m., June 9-14. Rev. Don Walton will provide the worship service and special music will be presented each night. Rev. Walton is an evangelist of Oak Grove, Missouri, born and raised in Lincolnton, Georgia.
On Wednesday, June 11, there will be a book signing by Dale Wiley of Crane, Missouri, author of There is a Fountain, a historical account of campmeetings at Fountain over the years. Also, a Memorial and History Service will begin at 7:30 p.m. provided by Mr. Wiley.
DON WALTON Activities will conclude on Sun- day, June 15, with Sunday School at 10 a.m., worship at 11 a.m., and a covered dish lunch at noon. Barbeque and hash will also be provided by the Garbutt, Bacon, and Quinn families at Fountain.
The music director for the week will be Wendy Kersey of Warrenton, Georgia. Pianists for morning worship services are Jennifer Sandifer and Connie Moore. Freddie Brown of Washington will be the pianists for evening worship services.
Special activities for the week will include a covered dish dinner at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, and an ice cream social on Friday night, June 13, immediately following the worship service.
Throughout the week, Connie Moore and Jennifer Sandifer will direct a children's choir.
Renee Askew will be in charge of youth activites.
Rev. David Sisler, Pastor of Macedonia United Methodist Church, will conduct a Bible study on the book of Proverbs, Monday-Friday, at 3 p.m. under the tabernacle.

Monday night - Freddie Brown of Washington and Mariah Wall of Thomson.
Tuesday night - Lillie Morris of First Methodist Church in Thomson.
Wednesday night - Mesena UMC Choir of Mesena, Georgia, and Mark Cheek of First United Methodist Church in Thomson.
Thursday night - Fort Creek Baptist Church Choir of Dearing.
Friday night - The New Apostles of Crawfordville.
Saturday night - Kyong Kim, Music Director of First United Methodist Church in Thomson.
Sunday morning - Macedonia United Methodist Church Choir of Thomson.
Fountain Campground is located on Highway 80 North, approximately nine miles from the Camak/ Warrenton Exit on I-20. It is located between Cadley and Washington.
All are welcome at Fountain Campground.
