Anna Gentry, daughter of Katherine and John Gentry Jr. of Athens, celebrated her ninth birthday on Friday evening, May 16, at the Oconee County Recreation Department Community Complex. Her birthday was May 5.

Anna was treated to a special soccer party and she and her classmates enjoyed playing soccer on the new soccer fields as well as other games.

They celebrated with pizza, drinks and her large chocolate chip cookie cake centered with a soccer ball.

Celebrating with her were her classmates, her sister, Caroline, and grandparents, Susan and Edward Pope Jr.

On her birthday Anna and her family celebrated at dinner at Outback Steakhouse.
