Hendrix family gathers for reunion at Lindsey home
Sixty-six members of the family of the late William Grady and Agnes Barrett Hendrix gathered for a reunion on Saturday, May 10, at the Danburg home of Mike and Patricia Lindsey.
The family enjoyed a beautiful spring day in the lovely yard of the Lindsey country home.
Lunch was served at noon and included barbecued chicken prepared by Gene and Caroline Thornton and Mark Thornton. Family members contributed their favorite dishes to the delicious meal. Tables were set with white tablecloths and each held Mason jars filled with spring flowers from the garden of Louise and Ross Maynard.
Following lunch the children enjoyed playing on the playscape while many adults visited and some of the men enjoyed a visit to see the classic cars of Ross Maynard.
The group included all of the eight children of Grady and Agnes Hendrix, most of the grandchildren and many of the great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Out-of-town family members attending were Mike and Patricia Lindsey, Michael Lindsey, Kelli, Jake and Grady Weatherford of Kennesaw; Wesley, Pennie, Merlin and Taylor Cain of Statham; Jamey, Debbie, Jimmy and Brittany Hogan of Augusta; John and Fannie Mae Hodge, and Johnny and Kathy Banks of Abbeville, S.C.; Wayne and Tammy Banks of Sedalia, Mo.; Richard and June Hendrix of Ormand Beach, Fla.; Hunter and Evan Freeman of Buford; Zan and Marjorie Bunch, Greg Bunch, Bridget and C.J. Bunch, also Mark, Angie, Laney and Jackson Thornton, of Tignall; Eddie, Robin, Michael and Randy Bunch of Milledgeville; J.R. and Cynthia Jackson, Jonathan and Rebecca Sebold and Evan, Michelle, Miranda, Mallory, McKinley and Hanniah Poston of Hephzibah; Steven and Erin Poston of Grovetown; Danny and Alice Thornton and Brian Corns of Crawfordville; and Kathy Hendrix of Thomson.
Family members attending from Washington were Mary Burt, Dennis, Lisa and Ashley Burt, Reba and Gene Thornton, Amanda Thornton and James Brooks, Gene and Caroline Thornton, Dylan Echols and Grady and Ruth Rogers.
