The Wills Memorial Hospital Foundation met May 7 in the Nash Library of the hospital.

Directors attending were Debbie Bennett, Herb Stackhouse, Pat Niemann, Kelly Powell, Ed Geddings, Lefreda Adair, and Bernie Pope.

The main topic of discussion was the very successful "From the Heart" gala that took place February 2 at The Pope Center. Due to the positive feedback from the over 200 guests who attended and the popularity of this Valentine benefit, a repeat gala is slated for Saturday, February 7, 2009. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Chesnut and Mr. and Mrs. John Horton have again graciously offered to sponsor and bring back "The Usual Suspects" as entertainment. Details will be presented at a later date.

Other topics of discussion at the meeting were the Jack and Jean Rhodes Scholarship and future meeting dates. All available scholarships have been awarded to hospital employees currently enrolled in accredited programs.

The executive committee will present a schedule for the 2008-2009 meetings at the next quarterly meeting at noon on September 3 at the Nash Library.
