Our community was saddened by the death of Keith Standard last Monday. Keith was the husband of Linda Turpin Standard, and the father of Bobby, Chris, and Daniel, and stepfather of Bobby Ansley. He is survived by his father, Anderson Standard, four brothers and three sisters. Memorial services were held Saturday at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. ƒEbenezer Baptist Church had a great Vacation Bible School last week with an average of 60 children. Supper was served each night and there was a class for the youngest to the eldest. Thanks to all who had a part in this service. Linda and Lauree Shelton were the directors and Johnny was a great help. ƒPeyton Standard of Lexington, S.C., is visiting his grandmother, Linda Standard, for a few days. ƒThose attending the services for Keith Standard Saturday in our community were Russell Goldman of Doraville; Randy Goldman, Connie Johnson, and Misty of Lincoln County; Lucille Ingram, Tommy, Regina, and Alex Dunaway, Wade and Lisa Dunnaway, G.B. and Sherry Newsome, Burt Newsome, Vickey Glenn, Claude and Sherri Ingram, Peyton Standard, Cassie and Bryson Taylor. ƒMr. and Mrs. Bill Turpin of Demorest came down Sunday and visited

and Sarah Huff. They also visited Miss Grace Dunaway and Alex Dunaway, and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Ansley Jr. ƒMr. and Mrs. Christopher Standard, Hunter, Mason, and Isabella, returned home to Denham Springs, La., Saturday evening. They had come due to the illness and death of his dad. ƒJim and Karan Newsome visited Jenelle Newsome several days last week. ƒ I visited with my parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wallace in Lincoln County, Friday. ƒHappy birthday to all who are celebrating a birthday this week. Lauree Shelton and Alice H.
