We had a good attendance at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church Sunday. A lot of members of the Bell and Lance families came to attend their annual reunion held at the church following the services. ƒMr. and Mrs. Willard Lance were hosts at a delicious supper at their home Saturday evening. Those attending were Rev. and Mrs. Clarence Lance, Rev. and Mrs. John Lance, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Lance, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Lance, Mr. and Mrs. Jamie Adkinson, Elizabeth Barber and Chris Conway, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Eskew, Keeley Saringer, Mrs. Sara Dees, Mrs. Iris Dyson, Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer. We all enjoyed the food and had a good time visiting with family and friends. ƒMrs. Iris Dyson attended the Tanner family reunion at Ficklen Presbyterian Church Sunday. She enjoyed seeing relatives and friends that she had not seen in a long time. ƒJames and I attended revival services each evening at Tignall Baptist Church. On Wednesday night the men from PenfieldChristian Home came and sang with the church choir, then they sang their theme song, "Victory In Jesus." After the service, homemade ice cream was served in the fellowship hall. Some of the guys from Penfieldsaid they had never eaten homemade ice cream. Can you imagine that? ƒMr. and Mrs. Tad Hopkins visited Mrs. Iris Dyson during the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Tad Hopkins III of Eatonton visited them Sunday afternoon. ƒMrs. John Sutherland had outpatient surgery Friday in a Columbia, S.C., hospital. She is recovering, but is very sore. ƒThere was a full house at the Bolton Lunceford Playhouse Friday night. The play, "The Wizard of Oz," was cute and I think everyone enjoyed it. ƒWhitney Branham attended the Summer Drama Camp at the Bolton Lunceford Playhouse and had a good time and everyone was in the play. ƒMrs. Cheryle Holsclaw spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Ricky McCarty.
