McKensie Helen Dozier and John Milton Clemmons Jr. of Crawfordville were united in marriage in a lovely ceremony Saturday, May 10, at four o'clock in the afternoon at Crawfordville Presbyterian Church in Crawfordville. Rev. Todd Clifton of Thomson officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Roy Dozier of Crawfordville and the late Suzy Dozier of Milledgeville.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Milton Clemmons and Mrs. Lisa Clemmons of Crawfordville.

Bright green ferns lined the church sanctuary. The altar was decorated with bouquets of white roses with accents of gypsophila and greenery tied with white bows. A beautifully-decorated table holding the unity candle served as the altar centerpiece. On either side of the centerpiece stood five-branch brass votives holding ivory candles, symbolizing the uniting families. The unity candle was embellished with white roses and bear grass.

Family seating was marked with bows of sheer ivory ribbon and greenery.

Guests registered in the bride's book placed in the foyer of the church on a table adorned with white roses and a white feathered pen.

A program of music was presented at the ceremony. Guests were seated to "Ave Maria." Members of the wedding party processed to "Canon in D" and the bride entered to "Bridal Chorus." The couple recessed to "Wedding March."

Mr. Clemmons was his son's best man and Nicholas Michael Clemmons of Milledgeville, brother of the bridegroom, served as usher.

The bride's sister, Kasey Dozier Hanson of Sevierville, Tenn., served as matron of honor. She chose a light pink knee-length gown with a bodice embellished with small crystals. Mrs. Hanson carried a single pink rose with leather leaf and gypsophila tied with a sheer pink ribbon accenting the color of her dress.

Escorted by her nephew, William Clayton Hanson of Sevierville, the bride was given in marriage by her family. She was radiant in a fulllength ivory wedding gown with an elegant V-neck design and a shirred bodice adorned with ruching, beading and crystals.

Her veil was adorned with ivory flowers, pearls and lace.

She carried a cluster bouquet of pink and white roses, gypsophila and delicate greenery tied with matching pink and white sheer ribbon.

For her "something old" the bride wore a set of antique pearls loaned to her by her friend, Melanie Forehand of Crawfordville. Her "something new" were her gown and new pearl earrings, a gift to herself. Her "something borrowed" were her slippers borrowed from her sister and matron of honor, Mrs. Hanson, and her "something blue" was a garter adorned with white lace, pearls and small blue ribbons.

Reception

Following the ceremony the bridal couple and their families entertained at a reception at the Sharon-Raytown Garden Club in Sharon.

White roses and greenery were entwined along the railing along the outside entrance to the club. The main hall continued the same décor as in the church sanctuary. The center table served as the couple's table and members of the wedding party were seated on their respective sides.

The couple's table featured a western-theme centerpiece highlighting one white and one black cowboy hat resting upon a wagon wheel and bale of hay encased in a clear cover.

The guests' tables were covered in sheer white tablecloths and accented with pink and yellow rose petals. The tables also had centerpieces of floating tea candles with pink and translucent accent stones inside the clear basins. Silver miniature versions of horse carriages and sheer pink sequins completed the setting.

The two buffets featured matching centerpieces of ivory candles inside clear long-stemmed candleholders. A pewter ornament reading "Mr. and Mrs." adorned the buffets. White roses with greenery accents filled a five-tiered pewter vase that highlighted the center buffet table.

The three-tiered wedding cake was accented with yellow and pink rose petals and topped with pink, yellow and white roses. A miniature replica of the couple was placed among the roses on the top tier.

A selection of different cheesecakes with various toppings prepared by the bridegroom's mother were presented on the bridegroom's cake table.

The reception refreshments were prepared by Mrs. Len Hardy of Washington as a wedding gift to the couple.

The newlyweds enjoyed their honeymoon in a peaceful log cabin near a creek in Gatlinburg, Tenn.

Mr. and Mrs. Clemmons are living in Crawfordville where they are constructing their new home.
