Kristyn Norman of Washington has been recognized by the United States Achievement Academy as a student of excellence in science.

The Academy recognizes fewer than 10 percent of all American high school students. The recognition is a prestigious honor.

Kristyn attends Washington- Wilkes Comprehensive High School and was nominated for this honor by Jennifer Atkinson a science teacher at the school. Her biographical information will appear in the Academy's officialyearbook which is published nationally.

Kristyn is the daughter of Merry Norman of Washington and the granddaughter of Fred and Lizzie Thomas and Joe and Nell Norman, all of Washington.
