Harper's Personal Care residents enjoy visiting with family, friends

Monday, July 14 -- Bobby Blakey visited Mrs. Lois Flynt. Mrs. Flynt had lunch with her daughter, Elaine Perry. .Robin Johnson and Arnold Wheehbarger visited Harper's Personal Care Home. .We would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family of Mrs. Genelle Gill who passed away at 1:30 a.m. this morning. She was well loved by all of us here and was such a wonderful lady and friend. She will be truly missed by all but we have some wonderful memories that she left behind. God bless all the family.

Tuesday, July 15 -- Mrs. Nancy C. Gunby visited her house at 401 E. Barnett and went to town. .Deborah Prince visited Faye Bufford. .Cheryl and Sandra Massey visited Mrs. Louise Bagwell.

Wednesday, July 16 -- Sharon Williamson visited Mrs. Bessie Skipper. .Dale Spence had lunch with Susan Spence. .The Washington Church of God and Church of God In Christ presented music and fellowship for the residents. .Mrs. Lois Poss did exercises with the residents. .Bettye Duke visited Mrs. Pete Strother.

Thursday, July 17 -- Barry Rogers visited Jake Maddox. .Madge Bailey took Mrs. Eva Reed to get a permanent put in her hair Saturday. It surely did look pretty. .Linda Griggs visited Mrs. Sara Curtis. .Albert and Eudora Huyck presented piano music, singing and devotional for the residents. .Mrs. Pete Strother had lunch with Inez, Madison, and Gene Hall and left on Sunday, July 13, for Valdosta to visit her grandson, Edward Saggus, and great-granddaughter, Tiffany S. until July 16. .Laura Cleveland visited Mrs. Lois Flynt. .John Webster visited Mayo Dodson. .We want to thank Joe Harris for bringing us pizza from the Pizza Hut every week. We really love and enjoy the pizza. .Oliver Gill passed away today. Harper's would like to express their heartfelt sympathy to his family. He was so devoted to his wife, Mrs. Genelle Gill. They were truly soulmates. He came to visit her here at Harper's every day. We will truly miss him and we really did love him. God bless the family. .Ann Saggus, Debra Kennedy and Shelby Kennedy visited Mrs. Pete Strother.

Friday, July 18 -- Wilbur Maney brought tomatoes to the residents. Thank you so much. We really have enjoyed them. .Kirk Dodson visited Mayo Dodson. Mrs. Barbara Dodson also visited Mr. Dodson. .Mrs. Helen Ross' birthday was today and she received some beautiful pink carnations. She set them out in the lobby so everyone could enjoy them. They are beautiful. .Marlena Perkins, Tracy Graves, Khailah (LeLe) Graves came to get Faye Bufford to go to the Church of the Lord Jesus.

Saturday, July 19 -- Miss Carrie Norman's great-niece brought squash to the residents yesterday. Her name is Robin. We surely did enjoy the squash. Thank you so much for bringing them to us. They were delicious. .Mrs. Nell Walls went with her daughter Becki to see her husband and they found out he had to be taken to the Washington hospital from Lake Crossing in Lincolnton. Let's all pray that he will get better real soon. . Gail Woods visited Mrs. Nancy Gunby. .Mrs. Pete Strother went to the movie premiere of "Deception" with Sandra and Pembroke Pope. .Nanci Faulk, Linda Norman, Justin and Jack Norman visited Miss Carrie Norman. Little Jack Norman is three months old and it was his first visit to see his great-great-aunt Carrie.

Sunday, July 20 -- Mrs. Nancy C. Gunby went to Cherry Grove Baptist Church. .Glen and Caroline Jump took Mrs. Eva Reed to a family reunion. .Faye Bufford went to the church of the Lord Jesus in Crawfordville with Lewis Evans, Tracy Graves, and LeLe Graves. Marlene Perkins preached today and gave a powerful sermon at the church of the Lord Jesus. The singing was fantastic. I also got to see another solo at church. .Mrs. Pete Strother went to church with Teresa and Russell Burdette. After church she had lunch with Lewis and Inez Hall. Inez brought homegrown cabbage to the residents. We really do appreciate the cabbage and they will be so delicious. .Scottie Ferrell visited his godmother, Mrs. Nancy C. Gunby, and residents. While here he helped some of the people in and out of the dining room at suppertime. He also cleaned off most of the tables in the dining room after they had eaten. He played the piano. He's a very nice young man. .Dale Spence is spending the night with his wife Susan.
