Post 17 GSP troopers record 18 crashes, no fatalities in July

State Troopers from the Washington Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated 18 traffic crashes during the month of July in Wilkes County.
Sergeant First Class Andrews said the traffic crashes resulted in 17 injuries. There were no fatalities.
SFC Andrews said troopers from Post 17 also issued 137 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes two arrests for driving under the influence; 63 citations for speeding; 36 seat belt violations; and six child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 157 warnings.
