J.W. Boatwright is doing okay at his home after having a heart attack last Sunday night. One artery was 100% blocked and the doctor put a stint in at Athens Regional Medical Center Monday morning. His heart was not damaged, but he is still weak and the next two weeks will be critical until he goes back to the doctor. He is just staying quiet, resting, and on a strict diet. Please remember us in your prayers. We appreciate all the concern you have shown.
Connie Gamble of Martinez, and Rachel Gamble of Augusta, Johnny Boatwright, Kay and Lamar Berry, Trey Berry, Brooke Berry, Kaitlyn and Bryson Porter, Rosemary Gresham, and Demetrice Porter have visited J.W. and Bonnie Boatwright during the week. Ruth Flynt and Alex Boatwright also visited.
I did not get to go to church Sunday morning as I was at home to be with J.W. I will miss it all week.
Heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family of Grace Jackson Ferguson. She was a sweet lady and lived here in Rayle for many years before moving to Washington. She will be greatly missed.
Lamar and Kay Berry, Trey Berry, and Kaitlyn Porter spent last week at Myrtle Beach. Brooke Berry, Demetrice Porter, and Bryson Porter joined them on Wednesday for a few days at the beach.
A large crowd attended the homecoming at County Line Baptist Church Sunday to enjoy singing by Greg and Charlotte Ritchie who were in concert during the morning service. The Ritchies traveled with Jeff and Sheri Easter for 12 years and are members of the Gaither Homecoming Tour. Everyone enjoyed the wonderful service, fellowship, and renewing of acquaintances.
Johnny and Kathryn Shedd, Tim and Gail Stewart, Alyssa Stewart and Darrel and Laura Shedd and Michael attended homecoming at County Line Baptist Church Sunday.
John and Becky Orr, Walker and Isabella of Lawrenceville joined Billy and Doris Walker for the homecoming at County Line and to visit them afterwards. Isabella has been here spending a few days with the Walkers. Other visitors were Alex Walker, Debra Sherrer, Whitney Sherrer and friend, Reese Brown, Lindsay Sherrer and friend, Jones. Visiting the Walkers Monday were Louise Smith and Lucile Edmonds of Anderson, S.C.
Zachery Frankel spent Tuesday and Wednesday nights with Clyde and Sandy Whittington. Thursday night, Kyle came and spent the night.
Frances Fendley celebrated her 80th birthday Monday, August 4. Her family took her out to dinner at Ryan's in Thomson Sunday. Jo Ann Perez, Richard Burkett, Bobby and Debra Armour, Dywane Armour. Amber Armour and friend Matt, Chris Armour, Rebecca and Raeleigh celebrated with her.
David Owen and Grant of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., came for a visit with Ruby Arnold. Rhonda Lance, Fallon Roberson, and Josh Roberson of Rossman, N.C., also came to visit Ruby.
Faye Johnson of Gray came to spend the weekend with Ruby Arnold. Dorothy Callaway joined them to attend a birthday celebration for Angie Williford at the home of Martha Williford in Lexington.
A birthday party was given for Debra (Bobby) Armour at her home Tuesday. Celebrating with her and Bobby were Chris and Heather Armour, Amber, Rebecca, and Raeleigh, Dywane Armour, and Frances Fendley.
Richard Burkett, Jo Ann Perez, and Frances Fendley visited George and Mozelle Casey Sunday afternoon. George had three stints put in in Atlanta Thursday. He will go later for surgery to put a valve in.
Prayers continue for J.W. Boatwright, George Casey, Joyce Bowen, Kathryn Padgett, Linda Stevens, Nancy Moon, Cindy McCarty, Dorothy Callaway, Sallie Mae Arnold, and Eric Arnold.
