Homecoming at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church will be this Sunday, August 10, (not August 20 as was in this column last week.) Sorry about the misprint about the date. Anyway, the services will begin with Sunday School at 10 a.m. and worship service at 11. Rev. Donnie Walton will be the evangelist on Sunday morning and each evening through Wednesday. A covered dish meal will be served in the fellowship hall following the services. We invite you to come join us.

Sue Davis spent much time during the week in Augusta with her daughter, Faye Scoggins, and her family. Bill had surgery Thursday. He has been very sick, but he is improving daily. Our prayers and thoughts are with them.

Pam McCarty and her sister, Gail Hammock of Warwick, attended the annual homecoming at Georgia Baptist Children's Home in Palmetto Saturday. Saturday evening, Pam attended the lovely wedding of Haley Adkinson and Michael Tanner of Albany at the First Baptist Church in Marietta. Haley is the daughter of Angela Adkinson. She and Pam grew up together and are still best friends.

Dianne Butler of Columbia came Monday and stayed until Friday morning with James and Samille Sherrer. She accompanied them to revival services each evening at Sandy Cross Baptist Church. On Thursday she and James visited Mrs. Sue McCarty in Danielsville and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Spinks in Carlton.

We were sorry to hear that my aunt, Louise Phelps, fell and broke her hip. She had surgery Monday morning at Athens Regional Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lance had lunch with Elizabeth Barber in Athens Tuesday.

Tuesday, July 29, was Agnes Branham Hayden's birthday. She and son Philip came to visit the Sherrers so that we could celebrate it with them. Dianne Butler was here with us. She and Philip had a good time together while Agnes and I had a mother-daughter time together.

Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer joined Mr. and Mrs. Ed Coxe and Edna Sherrer Friday and went to Asheville, N.C., for the wedding of James' granddaughter, Nikki Sherrer, and Keith Sanders at the Biltmore Estates. We were invited to the rehearsal dinner Friday evening. It was a lovely party and we were happy to meet and get to know Keith's family. The most beautiful wedding was at 6:30 p.m. at Lioncrest at the Biltmore Estates. Nikki was a beautiful bride. After the ceremony, a cocktail hour was held in the courtyard while wedding pictures were being made. Later the reception was in the ballroom where a delicious sitdown dinner was served and a good time was had with fellowship and dancing until midnight. We stayed at a nice bed and breakfast in Asheville. We came home Sunday afternoon and were so tired and glad to get home.
