Rebecca Lauren DeWeese of Washington-Wilkes has completed degree requirements for a Master of Arts in Education at Piedmont College.

While attending Piedmont's Athens campus, Rebecca maintained a 4.0 grade point average. Commencement was held July 26, at Johnny Mize Athletic Center in Demorest on the main campus of Piedmont College.

Rebecca is a 2002 graduate of Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School and a 2006 cum laude graduate of Mercer University in Macon.

She is employed as a kindergarten teacher at Oconee Primary School in Watkinsville and lives in Athens.

She is the daughter of Jim and Alicia DeWeese of Washington.
