At least one website has Eric Scott listed as one of the nation's top running backs in the Class of 2011. The first preseason notice of one of the Washington-Wilkes Tigers has come from Jim Stefani's Underclassmen Recruiting Blog on Recruiting- Brain.com. Listed in the top running backs for the Class of 2011 is Tiger sophomore running back Eric Scott at No. 9 in the country. No doubt Stefani picked him by virtue of his 1,200 yards rushing in just eight games last year - as a freshman.

Scott and some 50 other Tigers will begin their 2008 season where they belong, back in Class A, with a Jamboree against Greene County on Thursday, August 21, at Tiger Stadium. That's just two weeks away. Regular season games get underway against Banks County, also at home, on Friday, August 29, at 7:30 p.m.

Reserved seat tickets are now on sale for the upcoming season.

Reserved seat tickets will include the four regular season games as well as the August 21 jamboree with Greene County. Reserved seat tickets and Tiger Club memberships may be purchased at Athletic Director Russell Morgan's office at W-WCHS between the hours of 6-8 p.m. on August 5, 12, 14, and 19.
