An unfortunate mistake in last week's front page story about the public meeting concerning Wilkes County tax appraisals has caused some confusion as to the identity of one of the principal speakers. The tax appraiser quoted in the story and shown in the accompanying photograph was actually John Sisson and not Mickey Sisson as inadvertently identified. The News-Reporter regrets the error and sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience or embarrassment it may have caused.
