The First United Methodist Church of Washington will present a seven-week session Beth Moore Bible study entitled "Stepping Up - the Psalms of Ascent" beginning Sunday, August 24.

The study will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. and is an in-depth look at Psalms 120-134 which show how participants can voice their own petitions and praises to God.

The study will explore the major feasts of Israel, with themes such as unity, joy, and gratitude, redemption, repentance and the power of blessings, facing ridicule, and more.
