GED tests will be given in Washington Wilkes on August 28 and 29 in the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church.

Signup is mandatory and will be held Thursday, August 21, at 6 p.m. in the Wilkes County Adult Learning Center located in the old Wilkes Village Shopping Center behind McDonald's

Items required for signup are a money order ($95 for complete test or $19 per section); a picture identification (drivers license or state ID); and Social Security Number.
