Graveside services for Mildred Mansfield McAvoy, 90, will be held Thursday, August 21, 2008, in Resthaven Cemetery with Michael Moore officiating. She died Monday, August 18, in Habersham Medical Center.

Mrs. McAvoy was a native of Wilkes County and the daughter of the late William M. Mansfield and the late Maude Hester Mansfield. She was retired from Royal Manufacturing Company where she worked as a seamstress. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church for 70 years. She was the widow of Marion McAvoy.

Survivors include a son, James Marion McAvoy of Dahlonega; a daughter, Clifford Estelle Fisher; four grandchildren; several greatgrandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
