Willie Ed Parker
Funeral services for Willie Ed Parker, 65, were held Thursday, August 14, 2008, at McLendon Memorial Funeral Home, Washington, with Rev. John Gartrell officiating. Interment was in the Pole Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. He died Monday, August 4, at his home in Tignall.
Mr. Parker was a native of Wilkes County and the son of the late Jemmie and Luella Parker. He was a member of the Pole Branch Baptist Church and was the widower of Alma Parker. He was employed at the rock quarry.
Survivors include a daughter, Terri McCrary of Atlanta; a son, Leroy Jones of Athens; two sisters, Eloise Perry, Washington, D.C., and Bonnie Parker, Washington; three brothers, Pastor Paul Parker, Atlanta, Norman Gene Parker, Omaha, Nebraska, and Walter Parker of Tignall; and a grandchild, Janna Elyse McCrary of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
