Eula Denard Smith was honored on the occasion of her 98th birthday at a family celebration Saturday, August 23, at Heritage Health Care of Wilkes. Hosts were her son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Gracia Smith of Washington, and daughter and son-in-law, Lavera and Lavern Strickland of Brunswick.

The family gathered in the dining room where the table held a bouquet of pink roses.

Birthday cake and ice cream were enjoyed.

Celebrating with Mrs. Smith and the hosts were grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Kelli and Billy Craycraft, Cailyn and Maggie Craycraft, and Ben and Rett Cosby of Washington, Staci and Brice Deriso, Korbin and Caleb, of Dacula and Nikki Smith and Ricky Morris of Martinez.
