Old photos needed for 'Memory Lane' display at festival

2008-09-04 / News

Your help is needed to make the I'd Rather Be In Tignall Fall Festival on November 1 a great community event.

The steering committee needs your old photographs of people and places around the North Wilkes area. The "Trip Down Memory Lane" with the old photographs has been a hit with all the people who come back home for the Tignall festival.

Send copies of these photos or the original and a copy will be made and returned to you to Carolyn Gammon, P.O. Box 416, Tignall 30668.

Home baked cakes are needed for one of the favorite activities, the cake walk. Another interesting part of the festival is the kids fashion show. Dress up your child or grandchild and let them parade onto stage so that we can get those precious pictures. Children may go casual or dressy. This is not competition, so everyone is a winner.

Remember, the I'd Rather Be in Tignall Fall Festival is on Saturday, November 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vendors needing an application may get those at the City Hall in Tignall or from Carolyn Gammon or Gloria Ware.
