Two injured in Philomath Road crash

Two Wilkes County people were injured last Wednesday afternoon when, according to Georgia State Patrol TFC Ben Rollins, a van driven by Nora F. Davisson, 76, of Rayle, ran the stop sign at the intersection of Courtground Road and Philomath Road. Her vehicle struck a pickup driven by Edward Eugene Willis, 63, of Rayle, which was heading north on Philomath Road. Both vehicles were overturned, and Washington Fire and Rescue, along with Rayle fire fighters and first responders, extricated, treated, and transported Mrs. Davisson to Wills Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Mr. Willis was transported for examination.
