A new chapter of Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) is being organized in Washington- Wilkes.

The organization meeting will be held at the Mary Willis Library, Washington, on Monday, September 15, at 7 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to organize a new SAR chapter in the Washington and Wilkes County area. Any male over 18 years old who descends from a Patriot who fought or served in the American Revolution is eligible for membership.
