The Washington-Wilkes Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor a double elimination volleyball tournament September 6-7 at the Liberty Street Park. The events will begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday, and at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The age control date for participants is prior to September 1 of the current year. Any participant must be 18 years old prior to that date. There are three divisions of play: men's open; coed; and church coed.

Teams will consist of five members and may enter one of the three divisions listed. Teams must qualify no later than September 5. Entry fee for each team is $25 and should be paid at the time of qualifying.

A regulation game will be 15 points although a team must win by two. A match will consist of the best of three games. The score of a forfeited game will be recorded as 15-0 for each game of the match and 3-0 for the match.

Awards will be given to the first place team which will consist of a trophy for each member of the first place team.
