The First Baptist Church will begin a seven-week study titled "The Power of a Praying Wife" by Stormie Omartian beginning October 1.

Through her knowledge of the Bible Scripture and candid examples of her own epiphanies, Stormie Omartian has led millions of women into deeper, more fulfilling prayer lives, according to a spokesman for the church. In the study she shows how to draw closer to God; know His plans and purposes for life; and receive comfort, help and strength for everyday living.

Sessions will be held each week on Wednesday mornings from 8:00 until 11:00 a.m., and again on Thursday evenings from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Sessions begin October 1 and 2.

The only cost to participants is $15.00 for a workbook. The workbooks are available in the church office or at the first session.

Child care will be provided.
