In the only game they played last week, the W-W Lady Tigers softball team lost to visiting Thomson 7-3. The game was tied 2-2 through five innings when Thomson's big inning came in the sixth scoring four runs on three hits and two BBs.

Leading hitters for the Tigers were Lindsey Guin (1-3, rbi), Lauren Harrison (2-4, 2b), Yakira Banks (1-3), Nikki Freeman (1-4), Ashley West (1-4, 2b), Cayla Gilland (2-2), and Hannah Ward (1-3, rbi).

The Tigers begin region play Tuesday at Aquinas but results were not available by press time for this issue.

This weekend the Tigers will travel to Morgan County for a two-day tournament. On Friday the Tigers will play Madison County at 4:15 and Newton at 9:30.

Saturday's game times will be determined by the pool play on Friday. The Tigers will play a minimum of two games Saturday and possibly a third game.
