Vendor space is now available for the Seventh Annual "I'd Rather Be in Tignall" Fall Festival set for Saturday, November 1.

The festival will bring fun for all ages to the Old School grounds in Tignall from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the North Wilkes Steering Committee is accepting applications for booth space. "We invite you to come and share in the fun and festivities by bringing your arts and crafts for display," said Pat Bobo, treasurer. The booth charge is $25 for a covered pavilion and $10 for an outside space.

Food vendors pay a flat fee of $25 and information-type booths are welcome. Vendors must bring their own tables, and indoor space is available in the event of inclement weather.

Organizer Carolyn Gammon said the seventh annual festival promises to be lots of fun for all ages, with bingo, cake walks, live music all day. "There will be a wide variety of foods, and vendors with their crafts from all over the state of Georgia and some from South Carolina," she said.

For children, the festival will offer a hay ride, face painting, a moon walk and slide, and a kids' fashion show.

The highlight of this year's festival, organizers say, is the beautiful handmade quilt made by the Homemaker's Club that will be given away the day of the festival.

Another highlight is expected to be the "Trip Down Memory Lane" with old photos of North Wilkes displayed in the old school lunchroom.
