Madden tells of Canadian missions

Rev. Kevin Madden, formerly of Washington and now of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, was the guest speaker at the regular meeting of the Washington Kiwanis Club on Tuesday, September 30. Madden, associated with the Canadian National Baptist Convention, has been living in Canada for the past 12 years working in an effort to establish new churches there. He was appointed by the Baptist North American Mission Board last year to be responsible for starting new churches in the western part of Canada. He gave members an update on his efforts, the Canadian economy and life styles, and highlighted the differences with those of the U.S. His father, Wayne Madden, and Steve Blackmon were program hosts for the day.
