Frank Hurley
Funeral services for Frank Hurley, 64, of Washington were held September 29, 2008, at the Marks Tabernacle Baptist Church, Washington, with Rev. G.L. Avery officiating. Interment was in the Cherry Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Washington. He died September 25, at the Mattie C. Hall nursing facility in Aiken, S.C.
Mr. Hurley was a native of Wilkes County and was the son of Martha Hurley and the late Henry Hurley. He served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran, earning the rank of Private E-4.
Survivors include his mother, Martha Hurley of Washington; a daughter Kalenza Bridges, Athens; two sons, Bennie L. Hurley, Brunswick, and Decture L. Hurley, Conyers; two sisters, Willie Mae Hurley, Atlanta, and Jearldine Rush, Thomson; three brothers, Collie Hurley, Washington, Paul Hurley and Larry Hurley of Atlanta; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Earl Sims Jr., Kenneth Smith, Marion Gresham, Murray Butler, Robert Williams, and Dennis Graves.
McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
