Ashlyn Winfrey and Ryan Reese, whose wedding will be an event of October 4, were guests of honor at a Honey-Do Shower and Supper Friday evening, September 26, at the home of Michael and Vonice Wells on Glen Street.

Hosts for the festivities were Jillian and Adam Andrews of Washington, Rebecca DeWeese, and Lizzie and Justin Holmes of Athens, Paige Eason, and Jessica and Brett Northenor of Macon; and Leigh and Chris Oxendine of Greenwood, S. C.

For the outdoor occasion Miss Winfrey chose brown slacks topped with a Burgundy, brown, green and yellow striped crocheted sweater.

Inclement weather forced guests from the yard to the patio and porch area where colorful chrysanthemums and ferns were used in decorating. Tables were covered in black and accented with burlap toppers. Yellow chrysanthemums in wire and glass baskets and scarecrows decorated the tables. Checked bandana napkins, blue enamelware plates and Mason jars for tea finished each place setting.

Guests dined on barbecue, stew, breads, coleslaw, baked beans, and potato salad. Completing the meal were desserts of Red Velvet cake, chocolate delight and banana pudding.

The couple was presented a crock pot and two crock pot cookbooks.

Seventy-five guests were invited.
