Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Michael Barden Harriett Q. Peters and Darrell Michael Barden of Lincolnton were united in marriage Saturday, September 6, at one o'clock in the afternoon in the gardens of Wisteria Hall in Washington. Rev. Greg Porterfield of Wesley United Methodist Church in Evans officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Elizabeth Smith and the late Irvin N Smith of North Augusta, S.C.

The bridegroom is the son of Hazel Joanne Barden and the late Colvin W. Barden of Lincolnton.

A reception immediately followed at Wisteria Hall.

Acoustical guitar music was pro- vided by Norton Wade of Augusta.

Renee Meyer Dean of Harlem served as photographer.

The couple dined at The Fitzpatrick Hotel Down Under Restaurant after the reception.

Mr. and Mrs. Barden honeymooned at Wisteria Hall Bed and Breakfast in Washington and in Nashville, Tenn., after attending an ABC Auction in Crawfordville.

They are making their home in Lincolnton. Mrs. Barden is employed by Eye Physicians and Surgeons of Augusta and Mr. Barden is owner of Barden Land Clearing in Lincolnton.
