Elizabeth Brady Craven weds Colin Grant Dickerson Sept. 13

Mr. and Mrs. Colin Grant Dickerson Mr. and Mrs. Colin Grant Dickerson Elizabeth Brady Craven and Colin Grant Dickerson of Boston, Mass., exchanged wedding vows in an impressive double-ring ceremony Saturday, September 13, at two o'clock in the afternoon at Trinity Episcopal Church in Boston. Rev. Paige Ford Fisher of Boston officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Craven of Snellville. Mrs. Craven is the former Ann Barnett, daughter of Mrs. Paul G. Barnett and the late Mr. Barnett of Washington.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Dickerson of Philadelphia, Pa.

The altar flowers were dedicated in loving memory of the bride's grandfathers, Paul G. Barnett Jr. and James C. Gayle, and the bridegroom's grandmother, Mrs. Chester S. Dickerson.

Guests were presented programs by Shannon Rooney, Sunny Dickerson and J.C. Ciaramella of Charlotte, N.C.

Readers were Mrs. Elizabeth Andrews of Orlando, Fla., the bride's godmother; Robert Hull of Philadelphia and The Rev. Dr. John Via of Port Royal, Va.

Richard Webster of Boston, organist, presented Johann Pachelbel's "Canon in D," as the processional and "Sinfonia to Cantata 29: We Thank Thee, Lord" by Johann Sebastian Bach as the recessional.

Evan Kornfeld of Philadelphia served as best man. Groomsmen were Brian Dickerson, father of the bridegroom, and William Craven of Snellville, brother of the bride.

Amanda M. Killebrew of Atlanta attended the bride as maid of honor and Sarah C. Dickerson of Philadelphia, sister of the bridegroom, served as the bridesmaid. They were attired identically in black silk shantung street dresses complemented with aqua sashes and carried bouquets of dark pink roses.

Junior bridesmaids, Bailey E. Ciaramella and Caitlin R. Ciaramella of Charlotte, N.C., were attired in the same style dresses as the attendants but presented in reverse colors.

Anna M. Fisher of Boston was the flower girl. She wore an aqua dress and sash and carried a small bouquet of roses.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was radiant in her Paloma Blanca champagne classic floorlength A-line gown. The strapless bodice featured delicate embroidery. Buttons adorned the back to the hemline and the sweeping train was complemented by embroidered sashes from the back neckline.

Her shoulder-length veil fell from a pearl-bordered comb.

She carried a bouquet of white lilies centered by a pink rose.

Seated in places of honor with the couple's parents were their grandparents, Mrs. Paul G. Barnett of Washington, Mrs. James C. Gayle of Greenville, S.C., Mr. and Mrs. William Simone and Chester S. Dickerson of Philadelphia.

Reception

Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Craven entertained the wedding party and guests in the Church Reception Room in the Undercroft.

Following a wedding trip to Cape Cod, Mass., Mr. and Mrs. Dickerson are residing in Boston.

Attending from Washington- Wilkes was the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Paul G. Barnett. Other guests with Washington connections included The Rev. Dr. John Via and Allie Hardwick of Port Royal, Va. Rehearsal Dinner

Mr. and Mrs. Brian Dickerson were hosts at a rehearsal dinner at Skipjack's in Boston on Friday evening, September 12.

Bridal Breakfast

The Marriott Hotel at Buck Bay in Boston was the scene of a bridal breakfast for the bride-elect, her attendants and out-of-town ladies.

Hostesses for the occasion were the bride-elect's mother, Mrs. Patrick Craven; her grandmothers, Mrs. James Gayle and Mrs. Paul Barnett; and Mrs. John Ciaramella of Charlotte.
