WMH Auxiliary Membership Tea held at Hopkins home Thursday, September 25

The home of Rosemary Hopkins on East Robert Toombs Avenue was the scene of the Wills Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Membership Tea Thursday afternoon, September 25.
Everyone gathered in the spacious den where Amy Johnston, president, conducted the business meeting. She welcomed members, guests, and new and returning members, Vivian Barnett, Rachel Arnold, Rosalie Haynes and Pat Grimaud.
Mrs. Johnston also welcomed WMH CEO Marvin Goldman who thanked the organization for its tireless and continued support of the hospital. He also related several programs and plans for the future.
Many projects of the Auxiliary were discussed, the most current being the Celebrity Waiters Dinner scheduled for Thursday evening, October 2, at the Washington- Wilkes Comprehensive High School Cafeteria. Plans were finalized for all aspects of the project and other volunteers were added for the Thursday afternoon last minute decorating to provide a welcoming atmosphere for all who attend.
Other upcoming projects discussed were the lighting of the Tree of Love of the lawn of the Wilkes County Courthouse in late November. Also a reminder was given of the uniform sale November 20.
After the business meeting adjourned to the dining room for a delicious abundance of refreshments provided by several members. The table was centered with a beautiful arrangement of hydrangeas, roses and other fall flowers.
