The Washington-Wilkes Garden Club enjoyed a luncheon meeting Thursday, September 11, at Clifford's in Elberton.

Prior to lunch, a business meeting was held with Mary Webster presiding.

Mrs. Webster related to members that the aster was the flower of the month.

She reminded members to save pop top can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House project and also to consider the purchase of the Garden Club of Georgia, Inc. calendar. Funds from the sales of these calendars goes to provided financial support for the Garden Club of Georgia, Inc., college scholarship fund.

Sally Kennedy offered the blessing for the meal.

On the trip were Sophia Bamford, Marilyn Summerlin, Edna Lamar, Celeste Adams, Elaine Boiter, Sally Kennedy and Mary Webster.
