Lindsey descendants gather for reunion Saturday, September 27

The descendants of William F. and Ethel T. Lindsey held a family reunion on Saturday, September 27, at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Washington.

The family enjoyed a delicious barbecued chicken dinner with all the trimmings prepared by Charlie and Deena Burgess and delicious desserts prepared by Alice Lindsey. A special birthday cake for Buddy Lindsey, made by Karen Saggus, was also enjoyed.

Family members were especially glad to welcome new additions, Audrey Virginia Fowler and Brody Smith.

Fifty-three attended. Local family members attending included Buddy and Alice Lindsey, Kenny, Lisa, Connor, Vivie and Colin Isham, Glen, Jane, Graham, Jordan and Jesse Echols, Ricky and Kathy Lind- sey, Ronny, Patti and Elli Lindsey. Out-of-town family members present included Billy and Audrey Adams of Warner Robins; Tom and Pat Adams of Ocean Springs, Miss.; Clois and Barbara Brown of Athens; Keith, Susan, Carolyn and Rachel Reynolds of Marietta; Beth, Mike and Meredith Smith, and Eric, Shelby and Brody Smith of Lavonia; Tony, Laura, Audrey and Abby Williamson of Thomson; Rodney, Lauren and Audrey Virginia Fowler of Statesboro; Taylor Lindsey and Lindsey Reynolds of Athens; Hillary Lindsey of Nashville, Tenn.; Randy and Penny Lindsey, Greg and Ashley Denard of Cumming; Ivy Lindsey of Panama City Beach, Fla.; and Jenny Lindsey of Savannah. Special guests of the family included Trina Tarpley and Bridgett Scarborough of Warner Robins; Adam Hackney of Washington; and Hill Clarke of Gray.
