A new chapter of Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) is being organized in Washington- Wilkes.

An organizational meeting will be held at the Mary Willis Library on Monday, November 3, 7 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to organize a new SAR chapter in the Washington-Wilkes area.

Any male over 18 years old who descends from a patriot who fought or served in the American Revolution is eligible for membership.
