It's 6 a.m. and I just carried some trash outside. It's really chilly, but after all, it's October. I've said it before, I love fall. Despite all the leaves falling and real chilly mornings I enjoy fall. The leaves are changing colors and are so pretty. I even feel better. So have a happy fall and enjoy all of God's beauty. ƒG.B. and I had dinner in Thomson Sunday. It's good to go out sometimes. Our daughter, Shane Gaines, and son Tanner Barnett, came down for a visit Sunday afternoon. They also visited Jack and Marilyn Newsome, Burt Newsome, and Shannon Thomason before going home to Winterville. ƒ Linda Standard and friend, Mrs. Johnnie Goodson of Augusta, attended services at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Sunday. ƒRussell Goldman of Doraville spent Sunday at home with his mother, Sarah Huff. Russell carried Sarah, Linda, and Mrs. Goodson out to dinner at the Home Cafe. Aubrye and Michael Methe joined them. ƒCassie Goldman and Bryson visited her mother, Deana Johnson of Hull, last week. ƒWe are glad to know that Miss Grace Dunaway is feeling some better. We hope for a complete recovery. Visitors last week were Mrs. Louise Burt, Mr. and Mrs. Troy Brown, Debbie Lindsey, and Tim Brown of Thomson. ƒAlex Dunaway visited Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Myers Saturday. ƒCongratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Myers on their 50th wedding anniversary. May they have many more happy years together. ƒMrs. Betty Crawford of Appling visited Mrs. Lucille Turpin Saturday. ƒRoy Chesnut spent the weekend with his father, Roy Chesnut, near Macon. ƒMrs. Lamar LeRoy (Barbara Reese) carried me to Savannah Lakes in Mc- Cormick, S.C., Friday for a late birthday dinner. We have been friends since the first grade -- 45 years. ƒWe had a good day Sunday at Ebenezer Baptist Church. We had good attendance with visitors also present.The quarterly church business meeting was held. The adult Bible study class met at the church at 4:45 p.m. The youth group met at 6 p.m. We will have our fall festival soon. ƒHappy birthday to all who are celebrating a birthday this week. The ones from my church family are Linda Phillips, Jeanie Bruce, Angie Mobley, and Phyllis Marett. ƒSincere love and sympathy to all who recently lost loved ones. ƒOur prayer concerns include Dot Shank, Martin Burgess, Jack and Peggy Saggus, Talmadge and Kathleen Reed, Willie Ruth Freeman, Jimmie Lou Benton, Blanche Wallace, Grace Dunaway, Lessie Mae Young, Ruth Bell, George Leverette Jr., Margaret Pennington, Sanders and Elizabeth Dallis, Linda Albea, Claire Nelson, Alan Kemp, J.D.
