Bertha S. Lasher, 87, of Echols Personal Care Home in Rayle died Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at Wills Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Lasher was cremated and her cremains will be buried at St. Mary's of the Angels Episcopal Church Cemetery in Orlando, Florida. There will be no memorial service.

Mrs. Lasher was a native of Iowa and the daughter of the late Thomas and Alice Stalter. She is survived by a daughter, Sandy L. Barnett; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Thompson, both of Hoschton.

Davenport-McLendon Mortuary Inc. of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
