Crawford Jr., 89, of Detroit, Michigan, formerly of Washington, were held Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at Mulberry Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Crawford officiating. Interment was in Resthaven Cemetery. He died Saturday, October 11, at Triumph Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. A service was also held on Monday, October 20, at C.W. Morris Funeral Home, Highland Park, Michigan.

Mr. Crawford was a native of Wilkes County and the son of the late Willie and Mary Lou Crawford. He received his education from the Wilkes County public school system and was a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Washington, before moving to Detroit. He was a loyal member of Corinthian Lodge #38, F&AM, in Detroit; and retired from New York Central Railroad in 1982.

He is survived by one son, Mack N. Crawford of Detroit.
