Nicki Harrison entertained at bridesmaids' brunch Sept. 20
Nicki Harrison was entertained at a bridesmaids' brunch on Saturday, September 20, at her home on the Lincolnton Road. Hostesses for the occasion were her aunts, Pam Gunter and Jewel Griffin of Washington. They were assisted by Tammy Gunter, also of Washington.
For the festivities Miss Harrison wore a red dress accented with a matching slim belt at the waist. She was presented a red miniature Gerber daisy corsage.
As guests arrived, they signed the border of a "Congrats" plate and were served mimosas and assorted juices.
Tables were covered with embossed cloths. The bride-elect's table was centered with a twolayered charm cake iced and dotted in white, a gift from Kermit Hocutt, and topped with a bouquet of summer flowers. Flanking the cake from which the attendants pulled satin ribbon to which charms were attached, were pedestals holding cupcake containers filled with summer flowers in shades of light and deep pink, yellow, lime green and white. Other tables were centered with footed arrangements of yellow and deep pink daisies and greenery.
Star plates and glasses were used as guests enjoyed a brunch of fruit presented in compotes, sausage and egg quiche, French toast casserole and tea biscuits with assorted jams. Petit fours were enjoyed in addition to the charm cake.
Twenty-three guests attended.
