Many activities, opportunities available at Sardis Baptist

2008-10-23 / Worship

Sunday morning was another exciting day at Sardis Baptist Church. After the congregational singing, prayer requests, and praises, the children were called to the altar for their message by George Pate who was filling the pulpit in the absence of Rev. Jim Newsome. The children were very attentive and always enjoy their little messages every Sunday. After the message, Amanda Land led them in singing "Jesus Loves the Little Children of the World." They did a wonderful job and received a big applause from the congregation. After this they went to the annex for children's church with Amanda. George Pate gave an interesting message in the absence of the pastor.

There are many activities going on at Sardis Baptist Church. Sue Land, Acteens Director, announces that he Acteens are collecting canned goods for a needy family. She also said that it is time to fill shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child which are due in November. Rice bowls are also being filled for World Hunger this month.
