The Wilkes County Unit of the Salvation Army is still seeking donations for aid to the needy during October and November.
Funds were exhausted before $150 in donations was received following the last appeal. Three families were helped with these donations, but the treasury is again exhausted. Four families have been turned down for help.
"Your contributions mean so much to people in crisis," says Dot Harris on behalf of the Salvation Army board of directors.
Donations can be sent to Salvation Army, Dot Harris, treasurer, 509 N. Alexander Avenue, Washington 30673.
