Graveside services for Ruth Beatrice Hall Bell, 75, of Washington were held Saturday, October 25, 2008, in Washington-Wilkes Memorial Gardens with Rev. Wade Palmer officiating. She died October 22 in Vidalia.

Mrs. Bell was a native of Richmond County and had lived in Wilkes County for 48 years. She was the daughter of the late Jack Byrd and Mary Alice Seago Byrd. She was the widow of Tommie Bell. She was a homemaker and the proprietor of a daycare center and was a member of Harvest Time Christian Center.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Alice Willis of Warner Robins; one son, Tommie Bell and his wife Dara of Pembroke; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Jamie Jordan, Lester Wolfe, Robert Edwards, Marvin Bell, Doug Standridge, and Bobby West.
