The fall festival was held Saturday evening at Ebenezer Baptist Church. We had chili, hotdogs, drinks, and a lot of fun and fellowship. Thanks to all who came and to all who helped with it. ƒI visited my mother several days last week. On Sunday I joined my brother, Garnett Wallace, my sister, Nan Goff, and her husband Mickey of McCormick, S.C., for dinner at mother's home. ƒMr. and Mrs. Mickey Goff of McCormick and I visited Miriam H. Hughes in Laurens, S.C., Saturday. We had a nice day. ƒMarvin Davenport and a friend of Haysville, N.C., camped out on Big Cedar Road and enjoyed hunting during the weekend. ƒMrs. Jenelle Newsome, Jim and Karan Newsome visited Mr. and Mrs. Jamie Newsome and Anna in Martinez Thursday. ƒEdward Young of Atlanta visited his aunt, Lucille Turpin, Friday. Friday evening Mr. and Mrs. Matt Ryll, Connor and Callie came out to visit Lucille and went "trick or treating" in the community. ƒLynn Gay returned home Sunday after visiting relatives in Florida. ƒThose visiting Miss Grace Dunaway and Alex Dunaway during the week were his cousins, Beverly Teasley of Lincoln County, Malinda Irvin of Winterville, Wayne and Bobbi Thornton, Tommy and Regina Dunaway, Dawn Cosby, and James Walton. We are glad to hear that Miss Grace is feeling better. ƒMy grandson, Tanner Barnett of Winterville, and his friend, Logan Burgess of Crawford, visited us Saturday and went to the fall festival at the church. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Gaines picked them up Saturday night. ƒRussell Goldman of Doraville spent Sunday with his mother, Sarah Huff. Russ, Sarah, Randy Goldman, Cassie Goldman and Bryson, and Justin Goldman had dinner with Linda Standard Sunday. Bobby Ansley Jr. and Alex Dunaway also visited. ƒCassie Goldman and Bryson visited DeAnn Johnson in Hull last week. ƒMrs. Jenelle Newsome enjoyed a trip to the North Georgia Mountains with Rev. and Mrs. Jim Newsome last week. ƒHappy birthday to all who are celebrating a birthday this week. Alan Kemp will celebrate November 6. ƒPat Tuttle carried her mother, Mrs. Alma Lunceford O'Neal, and her aunt, Mrs. Mary Boldin of Augusta, to Union Point Sunday to visit Mr. O'Neal's gravesite.
